Step 2: Go to File - Export - Image File

Step 3: Select Image Type: .jpeg, click OK

Step 4: Check to make sure you can locate your files in your 'My Pictures' folder.

To upload to Blogger:
Step 1: Go to http://www.blogger.com/ and enter your username and password. Your username should be your school email address. If you do not remember your password you will need to click on that page to ask them to send it to you. Retrieve it from your email.

Step 2: Once you are logged in, you will notice a the top of the page that you are in the "Dashboard" section. The 8P Math blog will be listed there. Click on NEW POST.

Step 3: This is where you will upload your graphics. Make sure the "compose" tab is selected at the top of the box. Click on the little graphic that will allow you to add an image. Follow the directions to upload each of your graphics. Make sure you upload ALL of your graphics to this same post. In other words, do not open a new post for each one. They should all be included together.

Step 4: Once your post looks the way you want it to, click on Publish Post. Go to the blog and take a look at your post. If you need to make changes you can go back and edit.

GOOD LUCK!

Assignment for Thursday, February 19

Using Smartboard software create a series of slides that explains how to find the surface area of a right rectangular prism. Your slides should be designed so that a student who has never heard of one before can follow and understand your lesson and be able to create one on their own afterwards. Your slides should contain the following:

SLIDE 1 (Title page): A graphic of a rectangular prism (you might find one in the gallery) It must have the dimensions clearly labeled. You should include a definition of a rectangular prism.

SLIDE 2: A net of the rectangular prism from slide 1 with dimensions labeled. You should also have complete instructions on how to find the area of the prism using the net on this slide.

SLIDE 3: Using a different rectangular prism, demonstrate how to find the surface area by using the formula given in class (do not use the net). Make sure you have a graphic with dimensions labeled.

When you have finished and are ready for the project to be marked, email the Smart Notebook file to kphillips@pembinatrails.ca. You will be receiving a math mark for this project.

Due by the end of Computer Applications class on Monday, February 23.
